If you're looking for durable shorts that will hold up to abuse while providing enough pocket storage - then I highly recommend these. They thought of pretty much everything when it comes to pockets, and even have a reinforced section on the front pockets for a clip-on pocket knife. As other reviewers have mentioned, there is a button inside the fly that is pretty much unusable because it makes the opening too small; but, that isn't a huge deal. Personally, I just leave it unbuttoned - which doesn't seem impact performance or comfort.Overall, I highly recommend these shorts for anybody who spends time outdoors hiking, fishing, hunting, etc. Good to go I ordered 4 xl shots the fit amazing except 1, they all have the same size and the 3 from Bangladesh fit awesome , the one from China was super small it felt like a large big difference in quality, different in cheaper zippers also. Cheap ones were sold by Amazom better were sold by a camping or boating site, the China ones were less expensive and were not the same at all These are high quality shorts !0 Was happy enough with these that I ordered another pair and a pair of the comparable pants. Material is light, but not plastic-y and the fit is very comfortable. The security pocket took a little getting used to, but I have grown fond of it (even though I don’t actually use it). Shows my junk well. Ladies lovin I poked a hole in the cheap, thin mesh pocket with my finger the first time I wore them. I like the way they fit and the zipper pockets are great. Mesh pockets make sense on water/fishing shorts but the cheap pocket material is one cut corner too many. Huk needs to go back to the drawing board with these. I bought these as I gained a lot of weight from a accident. They fit perfectly as I need them for the vacation I am going on. The biggest thing I like are the pockets. Plenty of room to put things. I need some shorts that can handle the wild. These seem to fit the bill: secure pockets, room to move.First: I have worn these shorts for only a week (every day for about a week). This review is based on my experience so far.Yesterday, after some mobility work, I ran five miles on winding, rolling, dirt trails (roots, sand patches, rocks, snakes, etc.) through some local woods. Then I did some forward rolls, hung upside down by my knees on a branch, did numerous pop-ups onto the branch, did a few sprints, stalked (hand-foot crawl, hand-knee crawl, soldier crawl, walking, crouching) through some woods, and did other movements I don't recall. On other days of the week, I did lots of running, crawling, balance work, mobility work, squatting, log flipping. My wallet, keys, and cell phone were secure. The shorts gave me room to move. The fit is not too loose nor too tight. The zipper pockets are big enough to hold my cell phone, which I need since I do some foraging, tracking, plant study, animal study, nature study, and the iNaturalist thing. I need my phone to take pictures of plants, animals, animal tracks, and the local ecology. The zipper is a "rough" one, not one of the "loose" zippers that easily unzip on their own. It stays in place. And the zipper pockets are placed well: down and to the side, but towards the back. This way, my cell phone does not hammer my hand when I sprint. (I sometimes had that problem with my Blackhawk cargo shorts, which I love, but which are, I think, discontinued.)I bought a trial pair of 511s (good company!), but their pockets won't fit my cell phone. So, they won't work for a good workout. These Helikon-Tex shorts are light, seem durable, and seem like they won't restrict my range of motion. I like the Blackhawk cargo shorts, but I've split numerous pairs in the crotch when squatting or shouldering logs in the woods; that's a blow-out of $60 or so (a blow-out that does not seem repairable; the shorts are ruined). I hope the Helikon-Tex hold up to my log work. They so far seem to pass the test, so I'll be buying more.Update 10 April 2019: I have worn them every day since 22 March. I've run 8.5 miles in them, crawled, rolled, stalked, climbed, run, sprinted, jumped, squatted, lifted, and done about every movement you could. And they have kept my cell phone, keys, wallet, and knife with me. The shorts are giving me what I need. These shorts look great on my husband, he is happy with how well they fit. Wash before wearing, the fabric is a little stiff upon arrival. Great look and very comfortable. Wore the product to the beach one time, and the rivets came undone at the waist tie. Very poor quality. muy padre short, a mi esposo le encanto, producto tal como la foto Love these pants, but they fit more like an XL than a Large. I will be sending them back to get a Medium as the quality and comfort of the pants are really nice. Dickies tops seem to run a little big (in my opinion) and I guess that their pants do too. Overall, these are very nice pants that match perfectly with Dynamix Tops that they have. Other than the size issue, I am happy. I saw some people say they weren't durable, I almost didn't get them because of that, but I did because they were the only ones I could find that had the pocket layout, zippers, and stretch, that I was looking for. I haven't had them long, but I've found no issues with the stitching that would indicate I'll have any durability concerns. The color was a match to the image. The pockets are all exactly as expected with the exception of the phone pocket which is a bit too short for my Oneplus 7T, even though the dimensions said it should fit just fine.My one complaint. The length of the shorts rides just below instead of just above my knees. The stretch isn't quite enough to make it comfortable to bend my knees without pulling up on the shorts just a little bit. Sitting down, kneeling, climbing, all of these tasks require a hand to adjust my shorts each time. I'm 6' 2" with long legs, this shouldn't be an issue.Other than that, the shorts are great. Had I only ordered one pair, this would be a 5 star review. I ordered 2 pair, different colors, same size (38). They fit differently. Like probably a whole size difference between them. The problem was in the liner. I cut the liner out of the tight pair and that resolved the issue. Now to the positives. Coloration was as pictured. They sizing (liner excluded) is true to fit. The quality of construction seems great. They are comfortable, lightweight, and water repellent. And they are not transparent when wet. I highly recommend and will not hesitate to order again. Loved it! Got lots of compliments that I wouldn’t normally. It does ride up a bit in front and back, but I walk a lot at work. Good quality. A little big 32 waist
