Overall I'm quite pleased with these shorts. Fit is nice on my stocky build. Fabric is perfect for summer warmth and durable enough for normal outdoor use.Someone else mentioned that one of the pockets was too deep. That's a reasonable complaint. I went back 'n forth between 4 stars and 5 for that reason. Would be nice if that one deep pocket were a little less deep. Ordered three of the Northface Paramount Shorts - the order confirmation stated they were all to be Regular 10 inch length as I had ordered. I unfortunately put one pair on and spent all day out fishing. They did not feel right and as they came down below my knees. I own four pairs of these shorts and never had a problem before. When I got home, I measured this pair against the other two shorts received. The other two shorts were two inches shorter and fit perfectly. This pair are clearly not the right size and whoever fulfilled this order did not pay attention to the size. The pair I wore today was marked Tall (12 inch length) which is "too long" and I ordered 10 inches. The are now all full of fish guts and cannot be returned. Recommendation - carefully look at the size information before wearing any products coming from this suppler so you can at least return them for the right size. Now I have fancy expensive Northface shorts to be used as a rag! Great shorts, fit great These shorts are an awesome true to size fit. I was looking for sport shorts that had a back pocket. That's why I ordered them. The back pocket works but if it were a little deeper it would be a 5 star. The material used doesn't hold everything together while running. Wouldnt wear it in the gym due to their baggy look. Very comfortable and durable. No complaints I’m confused. I wore this pants to a hike. Then was ready to wash them, I checked out the label, and it shows ikon of “do not wash” and “do not dry”How am I supposed to clean them? Taking to dry wash every time will be way expensive. The waist runs correctly but the length/inseam is another story. I'm 6ft 1 and weigh 188lb and landed on a medium (short) after trying regular medium, large & large (short). They fit great though and comfortable. If you're undecided, go a size lower and change up the inseam with tall/short. Good fabric, nice fit and my husband liked them well enough I ordered 2 more pairs. These shorts are made well except they are to small in the thighs and the waist is smaller than what it says. I wear 38 and they ae extremely small in the butt Very nice. The pockets rip easily. Other than that light weight comfortable and stylish. I wear a 35 in between. I bought a 36 dried them once as I usually don’t dry my shirts and shorts do to my body type. After drying once they shrank enough to fit me perfect. I recommend them for comfort, style and airy. They fit well but the quality control was lacking. I had problems with all 3 pairs i bought so i returned them Nice material, length is good my only problem is that it’s not stretchy enough especially when it’s time to pull it was up towards your hip. The waist needed a little more elasticity to it. in Waist is too loose, in legs opening is too tight. Inner Liner is too heavy when wet then pull off shorts while swimming.I do not care whether sheer or opaque however when you come out of water it looks like bag filled with water (due to liner) on hips
