These fit WAY better compared to the ones my company gives us. Very durable and great for tucked in shirts. The elastic keeps me from needing a belt! the pockets tore with only being used for either the beach, or hanging out - keys - wallet - phone whatever it is - those pocket linings just could not take it like they were made of tissue. plus they faded FAST. My only issue is that the material is a little on the thin side. I don't hold much hope for them lasting working out in the garden and doing my lawn maintenance business but for the price they are still a good buy. Like others have said, buy them a good 3-4 sizes big. They will shrink! I line dry mine so the shrinkage was minimal. I normally wear 36Wx29L in khakis. I ordered 38Wx29L in Regular and loose fit to see which one would be better for work. The regular fit like my 36W khakis the loose fit was alright in the waist but was to baggy. I sent both back got 40W Regular and wear a belt to hold them up but they shrank enough they would stay up mostly without a belt. They are comfortable they shrink in the waist but come long enough in the leg to compensate for shrinking. These pant are very casual or work wear. If you are muscular they will probably look ok for all occasions but they are baggy on me. The fabric is soft considering the cost and when compared to other brands that cost two or three times as much. I washed them twice and they did shrink quite a bit, probably will shrink more. Up size by one for a snug fit two for a loose fit in the waist only. The length is about right after washing. The Maverick brand fit great. However, you substituted a Wrangler brand for the second pair, which I did not notice, and washed them by mistake . They did NOT fit well at all for being marked as a 34/29 size fit. I will now have to alter them to fit unless you will allow a return of a washed item.Regards Fits and preforms excellent Perfect fitting shorts, i use them for work, super comfortable and durable. I work as an automotive technician and the Texas heat hits pretty hard, these shorts keep me cool throughout the day and are so comfortable i dont want to take them off. I'm very satisfied with these shorts. Nautica is my favorite brand. I would definitely recommend to others. I like everything about Red Kap shorts. Problem is, I ordered a tan pair, and received a dark brown pair. Amazing shorts, my husband loves them and wants me to start buying more in the future.Very lightweight and cool !!! Perfect for traveling and the summer weather. Okay, so when looking to buy these I read the reviews and the complaints are what made me buy them.1. They are baggy. Translation, plenty of room for a big guy.2. They are way to long. Translation, they go a little below the knees and hide your fat.3. They pull up to your nipples. Translation, they go above your fat gut and fit like pants should.I love the way these fit! If your a fat guy like me then you will too! great price, comfortable Great shorts for work. As far as Dickies painter shorts/pants and normal Dickies sizing, these are spot on. And by that, I mean tight in the waist. I almost always wear 34 across the board with most brands, including many other Dickies shorts. But a 34 in these would not even button up on me. I have 4 pairs of Dickies carpenter shorts in size 34 that are as big or bigger than these 36. If in doubt, size up. Remind me of my old ACU's, which is why I purchased them. I like the calf pockets, it aids in carrying all my knives, and I'll feel less naked with them on me. The fit is exactly like I remembered it. If you used to serve or wish to wear these awesome pants, the fitting is the same as the military service uniform sizes. As long as you know what your size is, these will come in with a perfect fit every time. The material is great and seems just as sturdy so they should last me a while, especially since I won't be punishing them as hard as I did in Afghanistan or through training. When I need pants again, I'm definitely ordering these, who says tactical can't be fashion centric.
